JOIN IN VOLUNTEERING

RESIDENTS

Our volunteers are aged from 6 to 86, come from a diverse range of backgrounds and include those who live with challenges in their lives. Friendships have flourished within the group through shared gardening and horticultural activities, creating beautiful spaces that are also a source of inspiration, all with an eye on sustainability.

Activities for Older People

We have had several enjoyable afternoons arranging planting activities for groups of older people and telling them about our activities. If you would like to arrange a visit to your group please email: enquiry@weybridgeinbloom.org.uk

In recent years we have arranged several successful volunteer days which have been enjoyed by all concerned.

SCHOOLS

Weybridge in Bloom encourages pupils and students to join us on our well-established Duke of Edinburgh Award litter picking scheme to help keep our local environments free from the damaging effects of litter.

There may also be some opportunities to help water our planters and newly established planting schemes between April and October.

Community bulb planting days
in the Autumn

We have always been delighted to see children and young people at our annual bulb planting sessions, and they are always keen to see the results of their work the following spring when everything is out in bloom. We announce the sessions on social media and notify nearby schools.
